The Early Psychosis Intervention Team is part of the Kuwait Center for Mental Health (KCMH). The program is currently in phase one of its launch. We aim to provide holistic care that supports young people with early psychosis develop resilience and continue to pursue a meaningful life.
The Early Psychosis Intervention Team is currently led by psychiatrist Dr. Noura AlNouri who specialized in early intervention in psychosis at the University of Toronto, Canada. Our team includes two psychologists Fajer AlJarallah and Zainab AlShamali who provide psychoeducational services to patients and families.
Currently we are offering one-time consultations only. Referrals are accepted from KCMH physicians for diagnostic clarification or for treatment planning which includes recommendation for medications, side effect management, metabolic monitoring and psychoeducation sessions for patients and families.
As our program expands, we aim to provide longer term follow up which includes additional services of psychotherapeutic services, education/ employment support and family support.
